Title: The Greatest Generation
Author: Tom Brokaw
This book, a modern classic, has spawned many imitations. In it, the incomparable journalist Tom Brokaw chronicles the lives, dreams, sacrifices and (perhaps vanishing?) values of men and women who came of age in the Great Depression and Second World War. The time period is not idealized beyond credibility, but the narrative speaks to the strength and humanity of those who persevered to build something better.
Non-Fiction; rated 5 out of 5.
