Title: Fortune's Hand
Author: Belva Plain
A young man gets in a car accident where both his parents get killed. He was originally from a small community however an insurance agent convinces him to go to law school with his insurance money. He falls in love and has a family. One of his children is severely developmentally delayed.. The rest of the story is basically about his family life. This book seemed to be slow-moving compared to some of her other books. It was still an interesting story but usually in her books there are a lot of twists at the end. I was slightly disappointed in this book compared with Plain's other novels.
Fiction; rated 4 out of 5.
