At least 250 of Long Island historic mansions have been destroyed due to selling off property and trouble finding hired help. They were mostly working in factories and businesses during the World Wars.

It's about a father's love and a single mother's interaction in Luke "coming home". Great book!

Walking on Water

I read all five of the Walk series by Richard Paul Evans. It was interesting to read even with all the trials and tribulations he persevered. His faith in God and people got him through. The interactions of the people he meets along the way makes this book (or series) one you can't put down. Great book.

I loved this book. Sort of a modern day story of how Joseph in the Bible was condemned for being their father's favorite. Kept me wanting to find out more of the story. Great ending.

Babylon Rising: the Secret on Ararat
Title: The Secret on Ararat. Book Two of the Babylon Rising Series
Author: Tim LaHaye.
The book was about the main character finding Noah's Ark to prove God did flood the earth and that there was a second judgment coming (the end of the earth). The book reads like a suspense novel as eight people as a group are trying to make a one world economy, religion and country. They oppose him as they are driven by Satan as opposed to him who is driven by God.
Can't wait to read book 3.
