The Shoemaker's Wife

Title: The Shoemaker's Wife
Author: Adriana Trigiani

I loved this book. I have read several of Adriana Trigiani's books and this one was one of my favorites. The story is set in the Italian Alps when the book starts. The main characters are Enza and Ciro who meet when they are teenagers. They are immediately attracted to each other. They both end up going to America but neither one is aware of it. They eventually meet each other in America but circumstances separate them once again. As the jacket cover says "it is a historical epic of love and family, war and loss, risk and destiny". Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down. Highly recommended.

Fiction; rated 5 out of 5.

  1. Thanks for this review. I have read many of her books, but not this one -- and now, I shall!
